Grinders that use the “surface” grinding principle are called surface grinders. The workpiece is clamped on the magnetic table. The table with the workpiece then performs reciprocating sliding movement and ensures grinding along the required length of the workpiece. We can further divide surface grinders according to the orientation of the headstock into vertical and horizontal. Vertical surface grinder the front of the grinding wheel provides grinding while in the case of horizontal the grinding is carried out around the circumference of the wheel.
